Objective: My name is Ben Quirke and I am currently a junior studying Agricultural & Consumer Economics with a concentration in Agribusiness Markets & Management. I am really interested in supply chain management because it is the backbone of how products move from their origin to the consumer. I am excited to build a career where I can contribute to those aspirations and make those processes more efficient and sustainable.
Desired Field: I am most interested in working in the supply chain field of work. I am very interested in how companies are sourcing their data such as how food and commodities move from farms to consumers. I also like the challenge of trying to make decisions that not only affect costs/efficiency but also global competitveness.
Projects: With working as a Business Office Intern so far, me and my co-workers have been assisting in planning and coordinating IBRL-hosted events, ensuring smooth logistics and positive attendee experiences. As well as also facilitating the marketing & communication sector of IBRL by actively updating the website and supporting visual media efforts through photography and digital content. Lastly, managing and cataloging equipment and supplies for the overall inventories within the supply management sector of IBRL.
