Major: Food Science & Human Nutrition

Objective: My primary goal is to gain hands-on experience in a pilot plant setting and expand my understanding of the product R&D process in the F&B and consumer packaged goods industries. I am also looking to gain exposure to regulatory affairs and business-oriented aspects so that I have a greater understanding and wider perspective of how products go from conceptualization to consumption. I hope to have a hand in F&B companies’ efforts to break into the international market and improve both accessibility and variety for consumers around the world.

Desired Field: I am most interested in regulatory affairs, R&D, business strategy/development, and data analysis.

Equipment Capabilities: Food microbiology (strain engineering, PCR, plasmid/vector design, transformation); food safety (data and statistical analysis via R, Python, Tableau)
